Our Mission

Our mission is to provide group fitness and personal training to individuals who struggle with mental health and substance use issues.

We do this by connecting mental health professionals and recovery facilities with personal trainers and fitness facilities in the area. The mental health professional will then refer individuals that they believe could benefit from adding exercise to their wellness plan to those fitness professionals. Fit 4 Victory will then reimburse those fitness professionals for their services.

FILLING THE GAP

As a trainer, my goal was to change the way people thought about fitness. I wanted people to use exercise as a tool to help them cope with trauma, substance use, anxiety, and depression rather than just using it for weight loss. In my pursuit I found that the people I wanted to help were usually not able to afford my services. So I decided to figure out a way to fill that gap and make exercise services available to anyone in need. Fit 4 Victory is the way to fill that gap, and the gap between mental health professionals and fitness professionals.

We are looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor a voucher for someone struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.

A voucher is 10 free sessions at a fitness facility of choice for an individual referred to us by a mental health professional or recovery facility.

The sponsor will get their name put on the voucher and be listed on our website. they will also be announced on our social media platforms.

EXERCISE REDUCES STRESS & BOOSTS MOOD


Exercise helps your brain produce endorphins which help improve your mood, and acts as a natural painkiller. It also helps the body lower stress hormones such as cortisol. It helps the brain produce serotonin which is the neurotransmitter targeted by Antidepressants. Because of this, it can also act as a form of medication for some people. Running, lifting weights, Yoga, or any other form of exercise requires a certain amount of focus. This helps take our mind off of our daily stresses and allows us to be in the moment.
